For several weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were not from meeting publicly in large numbers. At FMBC, chose to meet online from our homes. We used Facebook Live and Zoom technology to broadcast. Since we were all at our individual homes, we decided to call it “Wednesday Church at Home.” It was a powerful way to overcome the lonely isolation being forced on us. As many as 10-12 church members and an assortment of people from around the globe joined us. After awhile, we opened the church facility back up and encouraged people to come back to our traditional Bible study format.
But guess what? All but a few decided they preferred the church building. They liked the comfort of their living rooms much better. Of course this makes sense when you think about it. Gathering a group together for any reason in the middle of the week, in the fourth largest metropolitan area in the U.S. is a major deal. All of which is to say, we’d love to have you join us for Wednesday Church at Home. Each week from 7:30-8:30 PM CDT. You can find Wednesday Night Home Church on Facebook Live; Zoom, or, you can go old school and meet with us in the Forest Meadow Baptist Church building at 9150 Church Rd., Dallas, TX 75231.
