Jesus said, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.” Mk 1:17–18.
A generation later, the Apostle Paul, writing to his young disciple named Timothy, “Be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” 2 Ti 2:1–2.
To Be a Disciple of Jesus Christ
To be a disciple of Jesus Christ means to follow Jesus Christ. To live as He lived. To walk as He walked. To love one’s neighbors as He loved them. And to pass on what one learns to others who will do the same.
Zúme Training is a biblical discipleship process that takes ordinary people and teaches them the way of following Jesus. It is not a denominational program. It is not advanced theology or doctrine. Rather, it teaches one how to follow Jesus the way we have all been called to do. How to read the Bible. How to pray. How to share the good news, share with others about what God has done in your life. How to love God, love your neighbors and make disciples.
The training is free. Access to the training is through the Zúme website. To check it out in more detail, visit the companion site. This training is a foundational ministry for Forest Meadow Baptist Church and has been successfully implemented in various places around the world.
